QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the dry seasons: June to October or December to February. These periods offer optimal conditions for beach activities and safari adventures. However, Zanzibar is a year-round destination with average temperatures between 25°C and 30°C (77°F to 86°F).

Most visitors require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can obtain an e-visa online before your trip or get a visa on arrival at major entry points. We recommend applying for an e-visa to save time at immigration.

The local currency is Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). US Dollars are widely accepted, especially in tourist areas. We recommend bringing new USD bills (2009 or newer). Major hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but it’s advisable to carry cash for local markets and smaller establishments.

Tanzania requires proof of Yellow Fever vaccination if you’re arriving from certain countries. We recommend consulting your doctor about:

  • Hepatitis A & B
  • Typhoid
  • Malaria prevention
  • COVID-19 requirements

Zanzibar and major cities have private hospitals and clinics. For Kilimanjaro climbing and remote safaris, our guides are first-aid trained, and we maintain emergency evacuation protocols.
