Itinerary

Day 1–2

Arusha to Tarangire for full-day game drive, then Lake Natron for flamingo walk and scenic exploration.

Day 3–4

Hike Ngare Sero waterfalls, then head to Serengeti for multiple game drives in the Seronera area.

Day 5

Morning game drive in Serengeti, then transfer to Ngorongoro area.

Day 6

Early descent into Ngorongoro Crater for game drive, return to Arusha by evening.
Day 1-2

Arusha → Tarangire → Lake Natron

Day 1 – Tarangire National Park

  • 07:30 AM: Pick-up from your Arusha hotel and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch.

  • Explore Tanzania’s third-largest park, famous for its giant baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attracts some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.

  • Possible sightings: lion, leopard, cheetah, kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe, zebra.

  • Evening: Return to camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Lake Natron

  • 08:00 AM: Depart with packed lunch for Lake Natron (approx. 3.5 hrs from Mto Wa Mbu/Manyara).

  • Afternoon guided walk with a Maasai tribesman along the lake’s alkaline shores, home to millions of breeding lesser flamingos (Sept–Jan peak).

  • Evening: Return to camp/lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3

Lake Natron → Central Serengeti

  • Early Morning: Hike to Ngare Sero waterfalls with a Maasai guide; enjoy the cool spray and scenic views.

  • 08:30 AM: Breakfast, then depart towards Serengeti National Park, passing through villages, savannah, and forest with chances to spot antelope, wildebeest, and zebra.

  • Afternoon: Game drive in the endless Serengeti plains—look for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and lions.

  • Evening: Dinner and overnight in Serengeti accommodation.

Day 4-5

Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro

Day 4 – Serengeti Exploration

  • Option 1: Full-day game drive with packed lunch (depart 9:00 AM).

  • Option 2: Early morning drive (6:00 AM), breakfast break, then afternoon drive.
